About Roost

Roost started the way a lot of good things do — with a problem we couldn't ignore. My daughter and I were raising a small flock together, and somewhere between the notebooks, the sticky notes on the brooder, and the spreadsheet I kept forgetting to update, we realized we were spending more time tracking our birds than enjoying them.

We needed something more than just spreadsheets and sticky notes to help our flock thrive. So we built it. Roost began as a simple way to stop forgetting hatch dates, and it grew into the one place we run our whole flock from — every bird, every egg, every hatch.

We're not a big tech company. We're a family that raises birds, just like you. Every feature in Roost came from a real moment in our coop — a missed hatch, a lost health record, a breeding we wished we'd written down. The AI assistant came from the nights I wished I could just ask someone, “is this normal?” and get a real answer.

We built Roost to help other flock keepers spend less time on paperwork and more time with their birds. We hope it helps your flock thrive the way it's helped ours.
